Who We Are

It should really say... who "I" am. My name is Kevin and I'm a Delaware resident. I write the BuildingDelmarva.com website. I've always taken an interest in new things that are coming to the areas I've lived or places I've worked. I do a double-take when I see construction fencing going up or a vacant strip mall being remodeled.

My plan for the website is to feature stories about new commercial buildings, retail and restaurant news and occasionally road projects. Much of my information comes from public postings and town planning documents. I do a lot of driving too and sometimes I notice things and research them.

Areas Covered

The website is called Building Delmarva... but right now I can only focus on the areas between Middletown and Milford in Delaware and Kent, Queen Anne's, Caroline and Talbot Counties in Maryland. Hopefully, as I get a handle on this, I can expand out a little further.

How are you making money? No one does anything for free!

I do this part-time, in what little spare time I have! I plan to place some advertisements on the website, but I do NOT plan to have a paywall or subscription service like many news outlets. Recovering the cost of the domain and upkeep would be my goal.

The intent is to simply inform people. I've seen many comments on development projects - both positive and negative. Some people like what's coming, some people think it's a waste of money. That's between you and the business! Many of these projects have public input periods during the planning phases. That's where your voice can be heard!
