Only the second location on the East Coast
I spotted this new restaurant not long after the signs went up in West Dover. They're located in the Gateway West Shopping Center around the corner from the Food Lion. The shopping center is at the corner of Forrest Avenue and Saulsbury Road.

Curry Pizza House & Hidden Tap and Barrel is actually one business with two distinct brands. It was founded in California in 2012 and they now have about 40 locations open or in development. A quick check of several West Coast locations show many 5 star reviews.

Curry Pizza House
As the name suggests, this is Indian-inspired pizza. (Spicy!) I spoke with the owner, Nick, a few weeks ago and he invited me to the soft opening to check things out! You walk in and are immediately greeted by an inviting space with plenty of TV's (11 actually) and plenty of seating. The Hidden Tap and Barrel Bar is off to your left and it's open to the rest of the room. It feels like one big space.

Obviously their specialty is pizza....but they also offer wings in several flavors, salads and small plate appetizers like baked masala chips, jalapeno poppers, onion rings and motz sticks.

As far as the pizza's go, you can go with their pre-selected pizza flavors or even custom build your own...and there are plenty of customization options. When I spoke with the owner, he told me the must-try is the vegetable Achari Gobhi Pizza, which is white sauce, cheese, onions, tomatoes, marinated cauliflower and fresh cilantro.

You can even try two pizzas on one pie. Half the pizza can be traditional Italian-American and the other half you can try an Indian-fusion pizza.
Curry Pizza House also offers vegan pizzas, gluten free and Jain pizzas. Jain pizza is a pizza that adheres to the dietary restrictions of Jainism, which excludes onions, garlic, and root vegetables. It is a way for those following Jain dietary laws to enjoy pizza.

Beverage offerings include Coke products, bottled water, apple juice or, of course, you could always order something from the Hidden Tap & Barrel Bar!
Orders can be placed online or through their app to take advantage of their rewards program!
Hidden Tap & Barrel Bar
Part two of this restaurant space is a branded bar called Hidden Tap & Barrel. As I mentioned, the bar is off to the left as soon as you walk in. As of the soft opening, they are still waiting on the liquor license to come through, so unfortunately this was not serving yet.

Once fully operational, they plan to offer a full bar menu that includes domestic and imports, local crafts and a large selection of Whiskey. They will also be featuring Kingfisher, an Indian premium lager. Hidden Tap & Barrel will feature 12 taps with rotating offerings.
East Coast Expansion
Currently, the only operating restaurant East of the Mississippi, is in Georgia. There are several more in development for the East Coast, including one more coming to Delaware!
They hope to be in full swing at this location for the beginning of football season! Give these guys a try and let us know what you think on our socials!
