Anchored by a new Weis Market, the long anticipated Bayberry Town Center is finally under construction. The developer has announced several restaurants and businesses have already signed leases including McDonalds, Chipotle, Chase Bank, Verizon, Wing Stop, UPS, Great Clips and Bloom Nails. A Weis fuel depot will also sit near one of the entrances to the center, which is located on Boyd's Corner Road.

The Boyd's Corner Road area, north of Middletown, began seeing it's development around 2010 with the beginning of the Bayberry community. Since then, thousands of homes have lined either side of the road, stretching between Summit Bridge Road and Route 1. The town center sits at the corner of Boyd's Corner Road and Jamison Corner Road.

Phase 1 is 280,000 sq ft of retail space with the Weis accounting for about 65,000 of that. Phase 2 looks to include more commercial space and will be just east of Phase 1. We do not know when that will begin, however we can assume the developers will wait until they have most of the first phase leased out.

Weis Market and many of the outparcels plan to be open in late 2025. This will be the northern-most Weis in Delaware. They currently have three in Sussex County and one in Easton, Talbot County.
