In January, Middletown officials approved plans for two new restaurants in the Northside Shopping Center. The shopping center, which is home to the new Target and now Hobby Lobby, is located at Middletown Warwick Road and Doc Levinson Drive.

The two restaurants, Honeygrow and First Watch, will be situated in front of the Target along Middletown Warwick Road. Plans call for additional retail space within the First Watch parcel, though no names have been identified yet.

If you are unfamiliar, Honeygrow is an asian-inspired stir fry, fast casual restaurant. Think Chipotle but with egg noodles. You customize your ingredients and proteins and it is all prepared in a wok in front of you. You also have the option to have your mix-ins on a salad. Their "Honeybar" is yogurt with fruits and other toppings.
We tried the Honeygrow in Christiana about 6 months ago and wished we went sooner! Honeygrow was born in Philadelphia in 2012 and has been expanding recently on the east coast. This will be their fourth Delaware location.
First Watch is a daytime dining restaurant chain known for its made-to-order breakfast, brunch, and lunch using fresh ingredients. They are open daily from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, serving a rotating seasonal menu of classic favorites and specialties. As of 2024, they have more than 535 locations in 29 states!
Construction should begin soon. In the same shopping center, the Hobby Lobby is soon to open and several other buildings are under construction.
