Three new eateries have signed leases to join Honeygrow and First Watch in the Northside Shopping Center in Middletown. This is also home to the new Target and Hobby Lobby.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe will be the first tenant in this strip building next to PetSmart.

Work was recently completed on the shell of this strip building, which is located next to the new PetSmart and Sprouts. Tropical Smoothie Cafe will be the first store to occupy this space. They'll be on the end closest to the Dash In gas station.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe serves fresh, made-to-order smoothies, wraps, sandwiches, acai bowls and flatbreads. They even have a few breakfast wraps, including a fan favorite peanut butter banana crunch flatbread - which is pb, banana, granola and honey on a flatbread wrap.

Three other Tropical Smoothie Cafe's are now in our coverage area - Dover, Camden and Easton, MD.

Qdoba Mexican Eats

Honeygrow and First Watch were previously announced for the front side of the shopping center. I have confirmed that Qdoba Mexican Eats will now be joining First Watch in the building up front, closest to Dash In. This will be their 5th Delaware location. Three others are north of Bear, DE and one is located in Dover. No other locations exist on Delmarva!

I am shocked to say it - but I've never given Qdoba a try. I guess my allegiance has always been to Chipotle. However, after looking over their menu while writing this article, I may just give them a shot!

Paris Baguette

Okay, this one stumped me. I've never heard of them. A quick Google search shows that their closest locations are in Philly and Baltimore and they appear to be one of the quickest growing bakery franchises in the US. They plan to open 1,000 cafe's by 2030.

Paris Baguette is actually not from Paris. It was founded in 1986 in South Korea. They are known for their wide array of French-inspired freshly baked goods...including cakes, pastries, and breads, as well as coffee and other beverages. "Paris Baguette operates as a neighborhood bakery café, aiming to provide a welcoming and joyful experience for its customers."

Some of their offerings include cakes (which you can get by the slice), cookies, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads, wraps and flatbreads - including the BBQ Chicken Pizzetta... which is flaky pizzetta bread topped with BBQ chicken breast, red onion, and mozzarella cheese.

Interestingly, the dough used at Paris Baguette is currently imported from China and Korea.

Paris Baguette will be occupying the space next to Honeygrow on the front side of the shopping center. As always, check back with BuildingDelmarva.com for updates on these projects!
