Plans for a 7-11 convenience store were presented to the Denton planning commission on Tuesday night. The proposed location is directly next to the Preston Ford dealership and right off Shore Highway.

Situated at the corner of Industrial Pkwy and Engerman Ave, the proposal also includes gas pumps in the front and rear of the store. Unfortunately, I was unable to catch the beginning of the Zoom meeting where they discussed that aspect.

The plans received preliminary site approval by the planning commission on Tuesday, May 27. Preliminary site approval is an initial review of a development proposal, ensuring the general layout meets zoning regulations and other standards. There were also conditions placed on the site including landscaping and vegetation requirements.

The developer would next come back to the planning commission to request final site approval, once all conditions and requirements have been met. Once granted, construction would then be allowed.
