Raising Canes In Dover Begins Construction

Site work is underway for the new Raising Canes in Dover. As reported in other news outlets, the new Raising Canes will be located at the site of the former Boston Market right on Route 13 in Dover. They join existing Dover restaurants Hangry Joes, Chic-fil-A, Wing Stop, Chicken House, Popeyes, KFC, Wings-To-Go and Buffalo Wild Wings. Dave's Hot Chicken is also on the way, planned to go in the old Friendly's restaurant.

If you are unfamiliar with Raising Canes, they are a rapidly expanding brand, focusing on cooked-to-order chicken fingers and crinkle cut fries. They have almost 900 locations across the country, with the closest to Dover being at The Grove in Newark.

Their menu is fairly small. Chicken fingers, chicken sandwich, fries, coleslaw and texas toast. Drink offerings include fountain drinks, lemonade and sweet and unsweet tea. Their signature "Canes Sauce" definitely boasts a delightful hint of Old Bay seasoning.

We are unsure of an exact opening, but anticipate it to be sometime in late summer/early fall 2025.
