First Watch Taking Over The Old Red Robin In Dover

Work has begun on remodeling the old Red Robin in Dover. Breakfast, brunch and lunch chain "First Watch" will be taking it's place in the Capital Station shopping center! Located in the heart of Dover right on Route 13, Capital Station is the newer shopping center that is home to Aldi, Hangry Joes, Orange Theory, Crumbl and more.

Red Robin opened this location in 2020, in the height of the Covid pandemic, but abruptly shut down on New Years Eve 2024.

If you're not familiar, First Watch is a daytime dining restaurant chain known for its made-to-order breakfast, brunch, and lunch using fresh ingredients. They are open daily from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, serving a rotating seasonal menu of classic favorites and specialties. They do not serve dinner! As of 2024, they have more than 535 locations in 29 states - including this one coming to Middletown!

Their menu consists of all the breakfast favorites - including "The Traditional" - Two cage-free eggs any style with your choice of bacon, smoked ham, chicken apple sausage patties, turkey or pork sausage links. Artisan toast, and fresh, seasoned potatoes are included.

They also offer several versions of eggs benedict, breakfast tacos, omelets, pancakes, french toast and quinoa bowls.

For lunch fare...kale salads, avacado wraps, roast beef and ham sandwiches are on the menu.

Drink offerings include iced coffee, fresh morning juices, teas and lemonades, as well as some interesting drinks from the "juice bar".. like the Purple Haze - lemon, cane sugar, butterfly pea flower tea and a hint of lavender.

It should not take long to get the building construction and remodel complete, and I would anticipate a late summer/fall opening once they can get staff hired and trained. They typically begin hiring for staff positions a month or so prior to opening.

For the Dover location, they are currently advertising online for manager positions.
